CutAbove Studios produces “festival-worthy” microfilms for actors. Our independent filmmakers are here to help you shine in your own original 2-4 minute short film.
Our focus is to create microfilms that include dynamic dialogue and multiple camera setups to both showcase you AND tell a compelling story.
What do actors do with their microfilm?
Actors use their microfilms in multiple ways. Many actors include clips from their microfilm in their acting reels, on casting profiles, and to promote themselves on social media.
Other actors have screened their microfilm at film festivals and/or partnered with streaming services/blogs/websites to feature their microfilm online.

Microfilm Consultation
Meet with a CutAbove consultant to discuss your goals as an actor and how your microfilm can best showcase your unique you.
Custom Original Script
Microfilm scripts are 2-4 minutes long and written by a CutAbove staff writer based on feedback you provide at your Consultation.
Professional Shoot
Typical microfilm shoots last 2-4 hours and include a crew of CutAbove independent filmmakers. Two clients may choose to work together on a microfilm or we can pair you with another actor from our roster.
Final Deliverables
Every package includes a full edit of your microfilm and a 30-60 second version to use on your reel or as a clip on your acting profiles.
Packages
Principal Package: $750*
You are the star of your own film. We provide everything, including a professional actor to be your co-star.
Partner Package: $475* (per actor)
Our Partner Package is for actors who would like to act with a friend in their Microfilm. Both actors are equally featured. You bring yourselves and your wants, we provide everything else!
* Deluxe locations, additional coaching, makeup artists, and more are available for an additional fee.
